You have to do it from a 32 bit machine (some weird outlook requirement) with Exchange Management tools installed.

Need to run it from an Exchange Org Admin Or Exchange server admin account on the same server the mailbox is on.

You need to use the restore-mailbox command to make the RSG an online mailbox, then from there you can create the PST from the mailbox.

Hi

here is the link on how to do the export

http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/04/13/3401913.aspx

here is the link to down load the 32bit managment console

BTW you will also need Outlook 2007 or above that is 32bit and the OS needs to be 32Bit as well.

you are in luck with this question as I am doign this right now.

The curse of the end user strikes again

You’ve updated all your end user’s email signatures. Hooray! But guess what? They’re playing around with the HTML, adding stupid taglines and ruining the imagery. Find out how you can save your signatures from end users today.

Well I found a third party software tool out there that you can restore emails from wether the db is mounted or if the db cannot be mounted. You can restore all of the emails or just a few, depending on what you need. I was able to export the users from the defective db to pst files and then was able to import them back into outlook..
Here is the link to the great software: http://www.lucid8.com/
