SCCM 2012 with WSUS and SCUP

We are running SCCM 2012 with WSUS. We were also looking to enable SCUP.

We have SCCM handling all updates with WSUS as the host. When we initially set this up, we also enabled SCUP so that Adobe updates could be pulled. However, the updates did not appear to be syncing properly. After reviewing the wcm.log file, we found an error stating, "Failed to set subscriptions on the WSUS server" and "subscription contains categories unknown to WSUS"

It still presents the error even when disabling Adobe updates in SCUP.

Google has been unhelpful.

Can anyone advise on how to fix this?

To clarify, the logs stated that Adobe Systems, Inc was the category unknown to WSUS.

I saw that in my Google search and it did not help.

I temporarily resolved this issue by removing Adobe from the product selection in the Config Manager System Update Point Role, but I would eventually like to pull in Adobe updates.

Nothing ever in the clear!

This technical paper will help you implement VMware’s VM encryption as well as implement Veeam encryption which together will achieve the nothing ever in the clear goal. If a bad guy steals VMs, backups or traffic they get nothing.
