Samsung ATIV 500T volume switch stuck

The tablet got dropped a few inches, but landed on the top left corner and jammed the  + end of the volume switch in the on position. No problem until you go to restart it, and than it boots to the recovery/unlock screen.  (the way to get to the recovery screen is push on the Volume + button and the power button at the same time) When I push on the - side of the switch, I can feel the ident, but nothing when the + side is pushed.

Anyone ever tried to fix the switch?

I would suggest you use a new Exacto knife to carefully carve slivers out of the edge of the hole for the switch until it pops back out; but, if it is similar to the 700, here is how to open it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiJpAf-7XZA
(The guy doing it should have used 3 guitar picks so the electronics didn't keep falling back into the case!)

I took off the back and unplugged the volume module. That fixed the problem.
