SCCM 2012 Auto Deployment

We are using a System Center 2012 with WSUS as the host for deploying software updates.

I am trying to set up auto deployment rules but they keep failing. The idea is to have System Center check daily for updates. Critical updates and security updates will be pushed immediately to a certain group.

I've set up the rules but it keeps failing. The error on the automatic deployment screen shows "last error" of 0x80004005, unspecified error.

Can anyone advise what could be wrong?

ruleengine.log shows the following:

Hi

When is your sync with MS happening ? It could be that your ADR is trying to run at the same time the MS sync is happening or when it is still running, so maybe also confirm that.

Also check your filter criteria on what updates you are wanting your ADR to download, seems like it isn't finding any.

Hope it gives you some idea.

Thanks

Hi Leon,

It's scheduled to sync daily, but to test I'm launching the update request from within System Center manually. It's set to grab all critical and security updates, but it's bombing  with the info I provided above.

Figured it out. Had to go to our "central" server to enable the rules.
