Hello,

I have an IBM Storewize V3700.

I plan to monitor it with nagios, the script that I want to use require to configure a ssh key without passphrase for logins to your V7000 storage array.

How can I generate this ssh key without passphrase??

First, try contacting the the Nagios script author to see if he/she has steps or examples of setting up such a configuration.

If not, there is this how-to on doing it, but be warned that it can literally give anyone access to the account and access to all other accounts that also are using said key.

Now, just in case as a backup plan if contacting the author isn't a possibility, you might want to look at using AD/LDAP, thus allowing a domain UID to access the device rather than via a local-based UID account.

Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V

Task Manager for Hyper-V provides critical information that allows you to monitor Hyper-V performance by displaying real-time views of CPU and memory at the individual VM-level, so you can quickly identify which VMs are using host resources.

hum, this links don't explain  how to configure a ssh key without passphrase for logins to your V7000 storage array.

The goal of this request is to be able to monitor the V7000 storage array using nagios.

Best I can say to that would be to contact the author of the script and see if they have instructions on doing it. Documentation on the V7000 equipment isn't all that publicly available under such configuration needs.
