Can't initialize hard drives in Adaptec array configuration utility.

When enterring Adaptec 2405's array configuration utility and choosing "Initialize hard drives", I can't select the hard drives to initialize them. Array down and up won't work. Why? Here's a screenshot :

Do they highlight when moving cursor up/down?
Move cursor down, press insert key, then enter .   Exactly what happens, be specific.

No, they don't highlight when moving up and down, which is the problem. Using their format tool, I'm able to select them, but not on the initialization utility nor the create array one.
I've seen this happen before, especially with apps that run at the BIOS.  Turned out it was the keyboard.   Does the up/down work ANYWHERE else in the app?  If no, try another keyboard.

If yes, then are these advanced sectored (4K) drives?  If so they may NOT work with that controller or firmware combo.   Check the Adaptec support site to see if they are. You  should also check to see if the card is running current firmware just in case.

Looks like a bug otherwise.
Good call on the keyboard probably dlethe...

What happens if you plug a real keyboard and monitor into it rather than using iKVM with IPMI?

I've requested that this question be deleted for the following reason:

Screenshot contain sensitive info.
No sensitive info there yet since you haven't managed to install it ;)

https://www.experts-exchange.com/Community_Support/ may be able to help in editing the screenshot if you don't want to wait 4 days for autodeleter.
There is nothing in the screenshot that is sensitive. All it shows is 4 HDDs. It shows make/model, but no serial numbers.   But certainly the IP# exposes you. I would just have the moderator remove the screenshot.

Can a moderator please remove the screenshot??
If you cannot access it to try a real keyboard then see if it works using the on-screen soft keyboard plus mouse.
Also looking at my keyboard I've noticed there are two insert keys, and also two of them on the example soft keyboard in the manual so try both of them, I spent ages pressing <ALT>something in one BIOS setup because that's what the instructions said but it turned out that in the UK you had to press <AltGr>something instead. Whoever wrote the manual and on-screen instructions had probably never seen an <AltGr> key.
