Hi,

We need to activate DELL ROK (Reseller Option kit) Windows 2012 R2 license on 2 Windows 2012 R2 VM's which were installed with evaluation versions of Windows 2012 R2 std.

After I'll expose the host details to the guest VM's (smbios.reflectHost = TRUE) will I be able to activate them OR do I need a fresh install from the ROK media/ISO?

Thanks

You will probably have to reinstall. Unless Dell did something very out of the ordinary (always possible, but unlikely.)

Eval downloads will allow changing activation keys to retail or VL, but OEM variants including ROK and system builder keys almost always fail.
