The user will search using the advanced search in a shared 2010 Outlook calendar for appointments by name. User enters the name and selects find but nothing appears eventhough we are looking directly at the appointment. It finds others without issue. The user has just recently upgraded to Office 2010 from Office 2003.

This isn't a lot to go on, would you be able to post some screen grabs of the advanced search tabs and the full details of the appointment.

I can't post that due to Privacy laws, but this is not only happening to one appointment, it's random. This issue only started after an upgrade from Office 2003 to office 2010.

privacy laws only apply if the information identifies a specific individual (more than just a name) and displays information they could reasonably expect to be kept private.

But assuming you are constrained by that:-

- what are you searching on? ie: which fields in outlook appointment.
- what are you searching for? eg: names, email address, dates, Location, Subject
- Are there any options set on the appointments that are not being returned (confidential, private)
- are they recurring appointments
- are there any extra search criteria in the 'advanced' tab already
- does a standard search work (standard search will check 'all commonly used fields' whereas advanced search asks you to specify fields)

It seems that we have just started migrating 11000 users to new exch servers and it has been brought to my attention that this is causing issues with shared mailboxes, calendars and so on If one party is migrated but the other is not then there is a breakdown in the process. I apologize for any inconvience, I will keep this question open to make sure that the issue is resolved once the parties I am dealing with have both been migrated. Thank you
