Running SBS2011.  I was logged in through Remote Web Workplace as well as using OWA from home this morning.  Everything working fine (always has).  Came back from lunch, went to log in again to OWA, and got an HTTP 500 error.  I logged onto the server and tried it to get more details, and the attached file is the screen shot.  Http 500.19.  The internal sharepoint site, RWW and OWA all get the error.  In addition, can no longer download emails to Iphone.

I did not install anything new.  Googled the error, but cannot find anything helpful and I do not know what to look for with a  'not well-formed XML' message.

Help!

The generic answer is that this problem occurs because the ApplicationHost.config file or the Web.config file contains a malformed or unsupported XML element.

How that would have changed in the middle of the day is a mystery.  You might try the old standby - reboot the server and see how it goes!

Just did a reboot - problem is gone.  Would love any  insight as to what might have caused it!

Hard to say what caused that but I am glad to hear it is working now.
