Duplicate PC and WSUS SIDs

I have LANSweeper identifying 700 PC SIDs out of 1,000 PCs and know why they're there (imaging) but was before my time here.

I have setup WSUS within the environment and want to update the client PCs, however, duplicate SIDs are an issue.

Do PC SIDs impact WSUS SIDs or create duplicate WSUS SIDs?

WHat is the best and quickest way to resolve 700 PC/WSUS duplicate SIDs?

Run a script using a GPO that resets the SID.

will the script be removing the PC SID and resetting the WSUS SID via the PC registry?

PC SID and WSUS SID are completely different. The WSUS SID is just a marker in the registry.
