Online Vusial Studio, is that real ?

Hi,
is that true that micorosft offers a version of Visual Studio that is entirely on the web, no installation needed except a web browser ?

If yes, how good is it? Can you work with Google Crome ?

What is the cost and where can we buy it ? Can you edit serious project with it ?

Thank you for the help!

Yeah, it's the former Team Foundation, rebranded.
It's free up to 5 users.

That would be stupid, wouldn't it? An IDE where you cannot input code...

Just register and try it.
It's free...

BTW, you'll still have a local IDE, just the code will be stored in the clouds and be accessible to all your team

So you need a local version of Viusual Studio in order to edit the files ?

Yes, and that comes free.

You have a choice between Express 2013 for Web, Express 2013 for Windows Desktop or Express 2013 for Windows.

Wel the problem with the free version is that it does not support virtual directories and other stuff that maks it very difficult to work with serious projects, like NopCommerce, but this is probably a topic by itself...
