Hello,

In VS2008, I was able to save a SSIS to a sql server by doing a FILE->SAVE COPY OF...In VS2010, it seems to only give me the option of saving to a file system...any suggestions how I can do this in VS2010?

Thanks!

Please see Mike Yin's answer to the similar question below and note that you may need to re-design the package from scratch in 2008:

Thanks Icohan, so if I'm tracking correctly after reading Mike Yin's answer, I cannot save a SSIS package designed in VS2010 to a SQL Server 2008 instance?  (meaning I need to build the SSIS package in VS2008)?

That is correct however I would try to save it as a file first then use SQL SSMS and try to import it into SQL Server - sorry I don't have right now such an environment to try that by myself.

Thanks Icohan...unfortunately server permissions won't allow me to try the import like you suggested, so I'll keep using VS2008 for now.   Thanks!
