Convert back to Server full GUI
I went ahead and did an (uninstall-windowsfeature server-gui-mgmt-infra -restart).
Now when I'm doing an (install-windowsfeature server-gui-shell -restart ) it fails to install.
This is on a VM Server that I'm using to study for exam 70-417.
can anyone walk me step by step on how to point this to the correct place (winsxs) wim file.
I have tried options on lien, but none have worked.
Thanks

Did not work, I did it two ways, one with C: and the other with D: none worked.
I have the installed CD on the D:\ drive of the Hyper-V box.
How do I point to it?

Would you like to try using Windows Update as the source instead, is that an option, is the VM internet connected?
ASKER
Yes VM is connected to Internet...
would you please walk me on how to do that?
Thanks...
Do you see that I'm doing anything wrong with the above?

Same 0x800f0906 error? This was a full GUI install that you stripped to server core, is it possible that from the command line when you enter sconfig that there is an option 12 for restoring GUI?

No worries...
Not all battles are won...
Just as long as the war is.
I'll keep picking at it, till I get it to work.
