cannot install MS Vis Studio Tools Runtime

Hi all :)

I have two users who cannot install MS visual studio tool for office runtime 2010. This error, see attachment.

what could be causing this? the service IS running.

Problem seems to be in your Windows installer, Can you tell what is the version of windows installer is installed in your machine ?

Open your command prompt with "Run as administrator" and type msiexec -?

Installer Version
To repair existing your Installer

Updating your Installer is always advisable if it is older

It is version 5.0.7601.17514

Tried all those suggestions, same problem

I found doing a full reinstall of windows fixed the problem
