Hi

I have couple of Motorola handheld scanner MC9090 with Windows Mobile 6.1 Classic, i need to downgrade the version of TelnetCE program in order it works correctly in our organization. But every time when perform a warm reboot on the device. The TelnetCE program will restore back to original/previously version.
It's looks like the program is not overwrite to the device.

Any suggestion?

Thanks
Wayne

You can't "downgrade"  the TelnetCE version in Windows Mobile 6.1 Classic as it's part of the base embedded OS - the only way you'll get an older version running is to downgrade Windows to an earlier version of Win Mobile.

Hi

I remember i send these few units to service before and they upgraded to Win Mobile 6.1
Before it was on Win Mobile 5.0, so is there a way to roll back to 5.0?

Thanks

Downgrading firmware on devices like this is device dependent - often the firmware installer is programmed to not run if a newer version is found on the device.
If you can find a Windows Mobile 5 firmware package and the flashing instructions for your scanners then at least its a possibility otherwise you should think about asking Motorola.
