Audio Driver for Windows 7

Hi,

 I have a IBM ThinkCentre S Series Type 8183 SFF desktop PC (MT-M 8183 GUU). The computer originally came loaded with XPP, but recenly I installed Widows 7. All the drivers were automatically loaded by Windows 7 except Sound/Audio portion of it. When I go to IBM/Lenovo website, they do not have Windows 7 driver.
 Can you help?

Thanks.

If you have gone to the Lenovo.com support site and to the Driver Matrix for 8183GUU and there is not Windows 7 driver, then there is not one.

The machine must be fairly old if it came preloaded with XP.

Here is the driver site and that machine came with Windows 2000/XP

So it is too old for Windows 7.

This says it's an ADI1918B: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-51266

A similar driver can be found here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS002475

Although it does not mention the S50 8183, I suspect it's because the laptop was already legacy.
@sglee

Yep, ignore my AC 97 posting above.
It says S50 because the machine is a ThinkCenter and not a ThinkPad.
Yup, the use of word "laptop" was in error. I know it's a ThinkCenter and the page I linked to has drivers for ThinkCenters.

I guess I'm too used to Lenovo laptops :)

@Dan
I plugged in the values into the website and showed it showed INTEL and Realtek AC97.

@dbrunton
I downloaded Realtek AC97  driver from the link that you provided and installed it.
I GOT SOUND NOW on this computer.
Thank you.
Some times when I can not find drivers for a computer, I do a windows update.  Often when windows is looking for updates it looks at the drivers in the device manager to see if it can find a updated driver for the system. Often the drivers that MS suggests works well with your system. I have done this when I did not know the type of video card was in the system and I let the windows update find the best driver for the system and it worked well.
