Repair Windows SBS 2011

Hi;

A HP ML110 running SBS 2011 configured with a Raid 1 Mirror suddenly went down, power was on but no video.

The mirror was manually broken, but attempts to boot the second drive in the array resulted in a blue screen. It booted to the first drive (Drive 0) but I cannot access any items on the start menu. If I click the start icon the menu comes up but none of the menu items respond. it is the same whether I use the keyboard or the mouse.

I can use the mouse on quick launch icons but then it windows does not open.

For example if I right click on the network icon I can select Network and Sharing Center, however the windows which opens stays blank.

The drive which blue screened is full accessible at this time.

Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have a backup?

My suggestion here would be to install new disks, create a new RAID1 and then restore from a backup.

If you don't do a restore then you may need to battle with file corruption.

Sorry to hear that.

Have you installed onto new disks or used the same disks?

I had to do complete re-install and setup the domain again.
