I'm using Microsoft Office Word Document 2007.  I open the document, type some text, hit <Enter>.  A line is skipped.  It looks like I'm in double space mode.

How do I single space this document ?

See the paragraph properties. In there you can configure single or double spacing, and also you can configure if there is extra separation on the paragraph, which I guess is what you want to change to 0pt.

Hope it helps.
