I am having trouble locating the correct media queries to use for BlackBerry devices.

Specifically I am coding a responsive email to be rendered on the following devices:-

BlackBerry Z30
BlackBerry Z10
BlackBerry Q10
BlackBerry Q5
BlackBerry 99xx

I have tried using the following media query in the style declaration used in the head of the email template but the
display: none !important;

Open in new window

is not being respected in any case.

@media screen and (max-width: 720px) and (max-height: 720px) (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5)

Open in new window

From what I have read, it may be necessary to implement separate media queries for each different device based on the screen size and resolution - however if possible I would like to manage with a single query.

I have immediate access to all devices to test queries...

... what @media query should i be using?

i dont know about those specific bb devices, but, most email clients dont understand media queries at all. also, putting styles in the head of your dicument is also very poorly supported in email clients. in general, html email is very limited. to this day, tables and inline styles have to be used for email layout.

you should first find out what css is even suppprted in the email clients you are targeting. second, if the viewport sizes arent drastically different, use percentage widths instead of trying to get perfect pixel sizes with media queries. this is a much more scalable approach
