Hi Guys

I have a network with

1 x 2012 R2 Std WSEE role installed
1 x 2012 R2 Ste RDS role installed

How to I see the RDS server in the RWA portal?  I seem to remember there was a connect computer utility in previous versions of SBS.

Any assistance would be great.

Thanks
Phil

Ok, from what I have been reading it seems that all you have to do is

1) Install and configure the RDS server (inc licensing etc)
2) Use the Connect Computer link from the RDS server (allow it to install .NET etc)

Bob's your uncle, RDS should now appear in RWA portal.

Is that it?

So, after a bit of digging around the answer appears to be quite simple.

run ConnectComputer on the server. i.e from the RDS server browse to https://[Essentials Server]/connect

There seems to be some confusion out there, a number of articles state you cannot run ConnectComputer on a server others say you can.  Perhaps this is true for some versions of Essentials but it seems to work fine with WSEE role installed.

The following ebook was helpful.
