Method to notify remote vb.net application user that form is in use

I am trying to figure out some method to notify a remote vb.net application user that a particular form is in use.

Sample code would be appreciated.

Sorry, I do not have time to write the code, but here is what I do.

I often have a table in my database that hold only one record, with constants and flags that let me know the status of different things.

For your situation, I would simply have in that table a field that is Null by default, but that I set everytime a user opens the form. It could be a simple Boolean flag, but in some situations, I simply store the name of the user how has the form opened.

When somebody wants to open the form, I check the flag. If it is not set, I give him the form. Otherwise, I tell them that the form is not available, possibly giving the name of the coworker that is actually working on the form.
