phpmailer with Amazon SES troubleshooting

Experts,

I have an application running on AWS and we also use SES to send out email notifications for one of our apps. We had it working and now it seems to not be working. I'm trying to figure out where I can look at logs of the email communication between our application and the SES service. We use phpmailer to handle the sending out to AWS SES.

The server is an Ubuntu server.

Thanks!

If you're sending with SMTP from PHPMailer, you can enable SMTPDebug and watch the SMTP transcript between your code and the server. That's likely to reveal your problem since it's pretty unlikely to be an issue within SES itself.

Otherwise, just make sure you're checking your return values.

You're answer made me think and we installed phpmailer to make this work. Thanks!
