apply a file association for all users
running a citrix environment consisting of 5 servers, 2008 r2 6.5 xenapp. And I have photo shop installed on all servers. When a user trys to open a tif it defaults to photoshop and I want to default to windows photo viewer. I have had users in the past do a open with and select windows photo viewer then check the box to always open with but even for users that have done that it will sometimes change back to photoshop.. How can I make it so all users in the citrix environment default to picture viewer when opening a .tif?

They do have re-directs for there profiles.

I followed the steps in the post, 2 of our 5 citrix servers were set to open tif with photoshop. I exported the reg setting from a server that had the correct association to the 2 servers that didnt. I will allow it to test for a week or so..

would suggest to use group policy gpp for the file associations.
2. The reason for not retaining the settings is probably they do not have a roaming profile so every time they logon to a different new server, it will default to system settings. Roaming profile should fix those problems.
