Microsoft Terminal Server 2012

Can someone tell me in detail how to setup a Windows 2012 Terminal Server.
Thanks.

It is still a good idea. Properly constructed MSI files (often wrapped in .exe files) change modes automatically and this has long been the case as it is a major feature of the "windows installer" architecture. But there have always been other unofficial installation frameworks that don't behave, and for those apps, changing modes is essential.

So basically, if you do it all the time, you don't have to guess or research whether an app behaves or not. It never hurts.

With 2012 it is as easy as following the "scenario" wizard. Don't try to do it manually or by hand. It isn't worth the hassle.

Ok....So I guess I can also just do a straight install of all the applications and just have users connect to it and anticipate no issues.   Thanks

We have this huge disagreement and so I just like to know
