SCCM Package stuck in Pending Install

Hi All,

We've just added a new Child site to our SCCM environment. Did the install via the Install binaries not the new child site wiz. had to do the normal adding machines to the site to site communications, and manual swap of certs via preinst.exe I've also configured the Server with the Distribution role.

To test everything I went to a small package (silverlight) and added the new server as a distro point. And over night it has remained on Pending Install. had a look at the distmgr.log and can see no error. On the Parent  distmgr log I see this

The package and/or program properties for package MEL00066 have not changed,  need to determine which site(s) need updated package info.  $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><Wed Mar 19 12:16:07.020 2014 AUS Eastern Daylight Time><thread=8756 (0x2234)>
A distribution point has been changed at this site, adding site COL to the list of sites to which we are sending package MEL00066.  $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><Wed Mar 19 12:16:07.020 2014 AUS Eastern Daylight Time><thread=8756 (0x2234)>
Parent site of COL is MEL  $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><Wed Mar 19 12:16:07.020 2014 AUS Eastern Daylight Time><thread=8756 (0x2234)>
~Sent package changes to site COL for package MEL00066  $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><Wed Mar 19 12:16:07.035 2014 AUS Eastern Daylight Time><thread=8756 (0x2234)>

On then client the logs don't any errors. I have noticed however the SMSPKG share has not been created on any of the drives. I have placed on C drive the NO_SMS_On_DRIVE file, but the remaining drives are open.

The link between the sites is 100mb, so I don't think there is a WAN speed issue. Have I missed something completely "stupid"

Cheers
JL
