Hello-

We run microsoft office with pop3 email.  Any recommendations on software to utilize for shared calendering?  3rd Party?  I have looked into publishing the outlook calendar to a webdav server and may test that but looking for some input before I test that.

Thanks,

Something like shareo http://www.shareo.com/ will work however depending on how many users you have any 3rd party solution can become expensive.

Have you considered moving to office 365 or another hosted exchange solution? That might be more cost effective in the long run

Well the company is basically paying for this hosted service for pennies and stuggling with the idea of changing to 365 as the cost would be a ton more.  I really need to get them to make the change.  Any other benefits to making the change?

The sharing calendars is a big one. I actually worked for a company who wanted to deploy Exchange just to use this feature.

Other benefits of office 365 include the following

- Outlook Web App - Access email from any web browser no matter where they are
- Uptime and availability of services 99.9%
- 25GB of mailbox per user
- Spam and Malware protection
- SharePoint site (massive benefit to help with collaboration and sharing of information)
- Smart phone access

In my opinion email is so much relied upon these days that this should be considered an essential rather than something to scrimp on. Even the most expensive Office 365 package is not much considering what you actually get
