Our mobile users have currently been receiving "cannot get mail" messages on their iPhones, however mail is still actually being delivered.  After some troubleshooting, we discovered that our ActiveSync server is frequently throwing a 1016 error.

We've already moved the AS server to a VM and allocated more resources, but this did not help.   Any ideas?

What version of Exchange do you have?

What results do you get from https://testexchangeconnectivity.com (Activesync Test) ?

Please describe your environment and what (if anything) has changed lately?
