cygwin with terminator on windows xp

I have a requirment from managment to install cygwin with terminator.
I have no clue where to get this or how to install and get it up and running

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what they mean by "with terminator" but you can get cygwin from here. Cygwin installs a Linux-like environment in Windows.

If they merely want access to some of the Linux commands, then maybe they only need GnuWin32. That installs Linux tools like grep, wc, cut, etc. in Windows. After you add the gnuwin32\bin folder to your Windows PATH environment variable, you can use Linux commands from a DOS box and in your Windows batch files.

all I know about what they call terminator is that when you run a statement in sqlplus using cygwin with terminator that it formats the sql output so that you don't have to put in things like linesize pagesize column definitions, etc.

If you could post the sqlplus command, I should be able to recognize which part of it requires Linux, and be able to answer whether GnuWin32 would provide that functionality.

ThomasMcA2 I am going to accept your solution because evidently the way my manager wants it done is extremely strange - we have a guy working on this at work for our team so am waiting on him to guide me thanks for trying
