Model 4402 Controller
WIndows 7 laptops
All new cisco switches
Prior to Jan 1, we had only a single SSID serving all users in our school. Using AES/PSK encryption with a passphrase. No major problems at all with clients connecting and remaining connected.
Over the December break, we did the following..
Installed all new Cisco closet/data center switches with new Fiber backbone
Setup the following SSID's on the controller...
Each using AES/PSK encryption, each with a different passphrase
We are experiencing many clients connecting, and then losing the connection to the AP...I've got much more detail but after weeks of frustration and configuration changes, nothing is fixing the problem.
I'm thinking that by increasing our total SSID's from 1 to 5 is at the heart of this. Each classroom floor has approx 160 students and approx 6-7 access points in the ceiling.
So by going from a single SSID to 5 SSID's, have I turned on way too many radios/channel's??
The controller logs are not being helpful at all.
Looking for options, opinions, etc.
