I am using w98 SE which is working ok. I was trying to install the gp500 game when a message displayed  Vertigo Error #2 no valid 3dfx drivers found. When I checked the device manager only my main video card was shown , not my diamond monster 3dfx accelerator  card as it was previously. Now my other 3d dependent games will not work as well. Can you help?

Reseat the Diamond PCI card (open case, remove PCI, firmly push it back into the slot). If it doesn't solve it, try another PCI slot. If that also doesn't help, the card is probably defect (not very strange for 16 year old equipment).
Any hardware with a question mark or red x ? (in your device manager)
