Can BIDS 2012 deploy SIS packages to SQL Server 2008?

I have installed BIDS 2012 which I have used to create my SSIS packages.  I would like to deploy them to SQL Server 2008.  Can this be done?

You can't.  You must use the BIDS 2008 to develop packages for SSIS 2008.
