Dear all,

I have a backup equipment, HP StorageWorks D2D2504i, I've tried to  find a plugin or make a script to retrieve his status through nagios system, no success so far.
Status could mean some things like, disk activity and usage, RAID state, storage reporting.
The only thing which is functionally now is "check_ping".
I've tried to retrieve SNMP values with wireshark, but no results.
Can somebody help me with this issue?

Thank you,

You need to get the MIB file for the device and add it to the server that runs Nagios in order to be able to use SNMP to query the device.

The below instructions are taken from this webpage

1.

Go to http://www.hp.com/support/downloads

2.

Under storage, click Disk Storage Systems .

3.

Under Disk-to-disk Backup, click HP StorageWorks D2D Backup Systems .

4.

Click Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware, Diagnostics, etc.) .

5.

Click MIB .

6.

In the Description column, click the title within the table:
To download the MIB file, click the Download button.

For instructions on installing the MIB file, click the Release Notes tab.
