RDP not working in SBS Remote Web Workspace

I have a SBS 2008 server.  Normally, when logging in to remote web workspace, all users have an option to connect to a computer.  I assume this is some RDP plugin for the browser that allows this.  We just upgraded computers to Windows 8 with IE 11.  Now when users log in, there is no such option.  I have googled this issue with no success.
It works fine on XP and Windows 7 laptops, but not on 8.  Is this a Windows 8 issue?  Is there a workaround for this?  I have tried IE, FireFox and Chrome and it is the same with all browsers.  i even tried this fix I found and still does not work.

Thanks!

the RDP remote web workplace is an IE plug in, it wouldn't work in Chrome or Firefox as far as I know.

have you tried just switching them to compatibility mode?

saw this with IE 10 pretty often.

try posting a screenshot of the failure message for one of the clients. so people can see specific messages.

There is no error message.  I uploaded screenshots.  The first shot  (correct) is how the page should look, showing the option of "Connect to a Computer" in the middle.  The second shot (error) shows the Windows 8 page without that option.
I need to figure out how to get that option to show up in Windows 8.

add the site to compatibility list, and trusted sites, in IE's settings and see if it shows up.

Highfive is so simple that setting up every meeting room takes just minutes and every employee will be able to start or join a call from any room with ease. Never be called into a meeting just to get it started again. This is how video conferencing should work!

are you testing with domain admin account? it "should" show all machines as options, so it might bypass security group stuff. if there's a group policy interfering, the fact that the box isn't even there makes me think it's a server side issue. more than a client problem.

I added site to compatibility list but didn't restart browser.  Once I restarted the browser and cleared the cache it started working.  Go figure.

Thanks so much!
