Hi all

i having difficulty on setup email account send on behalf
from Oracle box,
Example: I sent email From: Invoice@domain.com  TO: any@domain.com
But SMTP authenticate is one specific account example: Orderadmin@domain.com

In the past
when Orderadmin@domain.com pointing to ex2007 ( send on behalf ) "no problem"
when we moved to ex2010 thing failed authenticate on ex2010, DB guy complained return error " authenticate failed"

anyone know how to twist security on the exchange 2010 so that oderadmin@domain.com account can do just like in ex2007

You have to adjust the Receive Connectors.

Alternatively, you could setup anonymous relay but restrict it to the IP of the DB server.

HI,  Schuyler Dorsey

we do have that on connector " grant relay permission to anonymous connections on the new Receive connector"
my first thought was this account (Orderadmin@domain.com) needed some permission on ex2010 so it can send on behalf, maybe i am wrong

here the output
Identity             User                 Deny  Inherited
--------             ----                 ----  ---------
ADS01\Oracle Ap... NT AUTHORITY\ANON... False False

thank you

HI Schuyler Dorsey

here how it setup
1)Internet  connector were default outbound port 25/ 0.0.0.0.255.255.255.255
2)Oracle connector port 25 / Oracle IP 10.1.x.x
3) Oracle connector port 2525 /Orcle IP 10.1.x.x

the port 2525 working perfectly fine but the port 25 connector not working when they ran their test script on the Oracle box

many thanks in advance
