Excel Chart Bar of Pie Breakout
I have a table for which I want to create a pie chart with a further breakout of a single segment to show additional detail.
A sample spreadsheet is attached.
Ideally the purple that's displaying as 'Other' in the chart would be titled 'Central' and the breakout bar on the right would have 4 sections corresponding to the 'Child', 'Other', 'Mother' and 'Interim' that compose the 'Central' pie segment.
How can the data be setup differently to attain this result? Am I missing something in the chart settings or data selection?
Secondly, is it possible to have breakouts on two of the larger pie segments on one graph?
I'd be appreciative of any help.
Thanks,
Artie

I'm looking for the sum of all the columns B:D in the pie and the breakout of one of those columns, D2:D5 in the bar.
Is there not a way to create a pie segement from the sum of one column without using a sum data row?

Thanks!
Could you explain tell which cells (with address eg B2) should be in the pie chart and which in the bar chart keeping in mind that the bar chart represents one of the element of the pie chart.
