VB.Net - Easiect Way to Compare Datess With Time

Good Day Experts!

I have the ever popular question about how to compare 2 dates...one is a SQL table date and the other is Date.Now.  

Here is a sample of the SQL table date:
3/21/2014 1:12:29 PM

Date.Now:
3/21/2014 3:42:13 PM

What I need to do is to add 1hr and 20minutes to the SQL table date and then compare it to Date.Now.  

Can you help point me in the right direction?

Your SQL date is retrieved in your .Net application and stored in a DateTime variable?

YourDTVariable = YourDTVariable.AddMinutes(80)

if YourDTVariable < DateTime.Now ...
