I have a table that records the distance that three objects have travelled. I’m trying to design a report that displays the date and time and distance data for each object. The report and Access database are attached.

Please help me design a simple report that displays the data in the format shown in the attached image.

THe first thing I would do since you have a Date field and a Time field both of which are really datetime data types is to create a formula that combines the 2 into a single field.

Formua - EventDateTime
DateTime(Date({tblTimes.tDate}),Time({tblTimes.tTime}))

You can then add a group on the formula field
WHen you add the group you can format the field to show the Date/time as desired

You can get the speeds into the group header using summaries

If there will always only be 1 record for each object at a particular time you could use
Maximum, minimum, Average, or Sum as the summary formula

Right click the field
Click INSERT  -->  SUMMARY
Set the summary operation - SUM
Set the summary location to Group 1 Footer
    Click OK
Drag the field to the group header
Right click the summary field
Click FORMAT FIELD
Click the NUMBER TAB
Set the format for the numbers

Repeat the above for each field

See attached sample
