SBS 2008 Email Issue - smtp 550

I have a client who is expecting an email from an automated 3rd party system however the 3rd party receives the following bounce back when trying to email my client
"#5.5.0 smtp;550 <firstname.lastname@example.org>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found>"
My client is able to receive email from all other external senders.
Any ideas why they are receiving the bounce back.
My clients sbs server is configured to use the pop3 connector
