microsoft outlook rules 2007

Hello,

I have issues with outlook 2007 rules.
We are migrating from pop3 account into exchange.
I forgot export rules from outlook before I deleted pop account from outlook.
Steps what I did:
- deleted old account from outlook
- add new exchange email from control panel ->mail
- import pst
Everything is fine except all rules are missing.
I thought all rules are sitting in pst file if I'm using outlook 2007.
Any easy way to recover them ?
I loaded pst do different computer - all rules are empty.
Person who is using that PC also using icloud and google calendar sychro tool for synchronization. Maybe those two removed rules, I have no idea.

thanks for any help
h.

The rules are stored in files that are external to the PST.  They are, however, stored in the user's local Windows profile folders.  You can recover the rules if you create a new Outlook profile for the user with the same OUTLOOK PROFILE name as the old Outlook profile (before you moved to Exchange).  This will open those old configuration files that are stored in the user's Windows profile folders and you should be able to see the rules and then recreate them in the new Outlook/Exchange profile.
