SCCM 2012 R2 - All on the same box?

Good afternoon,

I am thinking to install SCCM 2012 R2 in my enviornment which has about 40 users all in the same site.

If installed i will be installing on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 with SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise installed.

I plan to "ONLY" use SCCM for the below:

1. Deploy workstation OS images (average deployment usage 5 workstations every 6 months).
2. Application Catalog (containing about 30 applications)
3. Pushing applications to users (about 3 applications every year).

With such a small usage in my small enviornment would it be OK to install SCCM and the database on the same VM?

Kindly advise.

Hi Nobushi.

This should not be an issue. Here are some details:

Primary site in a hierarchy (Local SQL Install)
Up to 50,000 clients
SQL Server is installed on the site server computer

The suggested hardware for the above is as follows:-
4 cores (Intel Xeon 5140 or comparable CPU)
16 GB of RAM
300 GB of hard disk space for the operating system, Configuration Manager, SQL Server, and all database files.
