Why am i seeing these disks
Hi
Not to sure why im seeing these disks when i go to create a virtual machine in the gallery items section in the tenant portal.
I can see the templates which is good but im seeing disks that are the vhdx files that have the OS on them. When i go to set it up it asks to set a size which i cant.
1. why are they there, are they suppose to be
2. why cant i put a size in?
thanks in advanced

So let me get this straight . The template that I have created will also show the associated disk that is attached to it in the setup process in the portal?
Yes it will also show its own disk and when you create a VM using this template it will create new disk (copy template disk) into the folder of this VM.
both VM templete and newVM will have its own disk.

Why do they do that, it's confusing. All it should show is the template...agree?
This is required as part of individual VM.
Individual VM itself means it have its own hardware.
Template is something which will make your VM Creation job easy. Template has to be created with the OS and its latest patches. also its configuration is very similar to the requested VM by end users.
I hope you are aware of use of VM Template.

Yes I am, was just thrown off why it was shown and then why if I clicked on it I couldn't changed the size, but I guess that's not to be edited nor selected just the template is. If I need to change the size I'll do what you mentioned . That sound right ?
