How do you resolve version store generation ratio on your SQL Server 2005 environment.

, Version Store Generation Ratio on mySQLServer is Critical.

The tempdb version store generation rate is 2259.4% greater than the cleanup rate on 2K5-SQL-PR1.

The current generation rate is 50.14 kilobytes per second and the current cleanup rate is 2.13 kilobytes per second.  The version store size is 17 MB and tempdb file size is 755 MB.

Version Store Generation Ratio: Amount, in percent, by which the tempdb version store generation rate exceeds the cleanup rate. This alert may only be raised on instances running SQL 2005 or above.

I think you should have a look at:

Tempdb Configuration Best Practices in SQL Server

Optimizing tempdb Performance
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175527(v=sql.90).aspx

Also, this database is rebuilt at any SQL Service Restart so if you split the mdf files and move them on a faster/better location that may be all needed.

Also, what Service pack are you running on SQL 2005? hopefully SP4.
