I want to be able to record a live webinar. I've used video capture software, and I can capture the video piece, but I don't get sound. Looking for suggestions and help on what software or hardware would work well to accomplish this.

Make it a Skype conference.  There is 3rd party software that works with Skype allowing you to record everything in real time.
