OWA look alike for AIX
Is anyone aware of an OWA look alike that will run on AIX?
I'm not sure I understand, OWA runs in a web browser, you want to know which web browser you can run on AIX so you can access OWA? Firefox should do just fine in that case.
ASKER
No, I am looking a browser based email solution similar to OWA, that runs on AIX.
Yes, there is a similar solution one of its kind,

The link refers to installing a p7 system with HMC. Nothing to do with browser based email.

I'm thinking of Lotus Notes (web client), or AtMail. Do you want an open source (free) solution or is there a budget?
ASKER
It can be purchased, but do not want to change from using sendmail. Prefer to stay away from Lotus/Domino solution. Preferably a third party solution that is a "drop in" like java or perl that will work directly via the web server.
Do you want a webmail client only or full mail server that sends and receives mails?
ASKER
Just a browser based client to work with sendmail as the server.
We have one now, but it is old (10 years) and clunkey to use.

Sendmail does not serve mailboxes to users. You need some pop3/imap server like dovecot, and probably replace sendmail with postfix to not have all users as system users.
ASKER
We currently use pop3 and imap servers that are supplied with AIX. Don't need or want anything else on top of that.
We have all the pieces in place, just want a new web based email client that looks like OWA.

Not the answer I hoped for, but I guess there is nothing out there that will do what I want out of the box.
Will probably use of the above suggested solutions and modify as needed.
thanks...

It could happen that some webmail suite defaults to localhost and work out of the box
