I am .net developer and know nothing about salesforce. My question is actually very straight forward.

I just need a website like MyRentalCompany.com has simple webform and all of the data will be captured and delivered to  the sale force database.

i also will allow the company users like sale rep. manager, and etc to use saleforce.com to follow up all the information and transaction.

Two questions below:

1. the website MyRentalCompany.com must be hosted with SaleForces.com or not?
2. To make changes on MyRentalCompany.com within SaleForces. What I need to do?

Thanks

1) probably not, as SF has it's own API that developers will have access to
2) SF has a SOAP api and a REST api. You can also check out their general documentation for developers
