iPhone 4 & iPhone 4s Screens

I have a small computer repair shop. I've turned away numerous people wanting me to fix their cracked screen on their iphone & ipads. I've done a little research & am getting ready to buy some broken phones to practice replacing the screens & such before I actually do it on a customers phone. My question is, on an iPhone 4, is the screen bought seperate than the digitizer. And on the iPhone 5, is it all built into the screen (the LCD & glass)? I just want to make sure I'm stocking my shop with the correct spare items due to to the shippipng being outragous if I just order a few items...and what about the adhesive tape or glue...what do you recomend? Are the adhesive tapes different for each phone & iPad or can I just buy a big roll of it....thanks for any input as to this.

The website with all the info is http:///www.ifixit.com which has numerous "howto's"; but higher than EBay prices.
The scuttlebut is that an iPhone 4 has the LCD so thoroughly attached to the digitizer (what most folks crack) that almost nobody can get them apart.  The iPhone 5 is much better about that.
All of them have very intricate layouts for the double sticky so only buy parts that include it.
You will need a heat gun (not a hair dryer) to loosen the old double sticky and some practice to get it right.  I get between $80 and $160 for each repair and am cheaper than most of the local competitiors; but, for example, found a used Nokia on EBay for $189, this morning, when the part was gonna be $150+ so I told him to just buy the replacement.
