Hi,

I have an excel sheet with following pattern:

     A          B        C       D         E
1 Title     Title   Title  Title   Title
2 AAA       zxc    ad    ed       dfg
3 AAA      ewr    fgh   vbn    qwe
4 AAA
5 BBB    sdf    cvb     ttw      uyi
6 BBB
7 CCC
8 CCC

I would like to color the rows which have same values and differentiate between the values colors, 2 colors are enough.

All AAA - rows will be colored light green
All BBB - rows will be colored light blue
All CCC - rows will be colored light green again, etc`.

Excel 2010

Thank you!

Sorry, this is not what I am looking for.

The column in A contains repeating names:

John
John
John
Mike
Mike
Mike
.
.
.
.
.

I need to differentiate between the names so it'll be easier to see when a group of names ends.  there are a lot of names so it's not possible for me to set values for each and every one of them.

OK I think this might be of help.

Excel - Shading entire row based on change of value

"What you can do is create a new column over on the right side of your spreadsheet that you'll use to compute a value you can base your shading on."
