I have a report that was created a couple of years ago and prints on a preprinted form where an object is not quite aligned. It sometimes, if multiple pages are printed, throws the text object way off.

 I thought I could just right click on the object. Select the size and position option then enter the X or Y and Height and Width and be done with it. Unfortunately everytime (After I click OK) I do this it will either revert back to the original numbers I had changed from or to some other value that is closer to what I want want.

Please help.
Thanks

From m y experience you are doing nothing wrong.  I have seen the same behavior.

2 things to try
1.  Make sure you have the option SNAP TO GRID turned off.
     Look under FILE --> OPTIONS

2.  Make sure the vertical and horizontal guidelines are all removed.

Interesting.  I hadn't run across that.  I generally just kept trying until it took
