How Can I reset my reset my server 2012 essentials back to default.

I am using hyper v and I have server 2012 and one client win 8 machine inside my hyper v machine. I completely messed up and I would like to reset my server 2012 so I can start over. Please tell me how I can reset my server 2012. Please provide me the steps. I have been frustrated for the past week.

all the required steps are in this article.  look under Resetting the server to factory default settings.

you basically boot from the win2012 cd and follow the prompts to reset to defaults.  there are a few other options if you want to keep some of the settings or data.

This is what I did, I did what you told me, and I went and deleted the old partition and created a new one. Is that the same as resetting it? I just dont want to max my product key, I dont know how many essentials give you, thats why I wanted to reset the server back to default

yeh thats fine.  dont worry about maxing the product key.  i think you get at least 3 goes before it maxes out and then you can just call MS and get a new activation key.  explain you have reinstalled a few times due to errors, etc.  theyll give you another key or let you use the same one again.
