Hi

I have a namespace with 3 folders, rootshare contains subfolders 2013 and 2014.
2013 and 2014 exist on 2 servers with 2 separate replication groups, this works fine.

\\domain.com\rootshare
- Rootshare
- 2013
- 2014

Primary member
\\srv01\rootshare\2013
\\srv01\rootshare\2014

Windows servers are 2008 and 2008 R2 until now.

Added 2012 server and can successfully create replication groups for subfolders to \\srv01\rootshare\20xx.

When trying to add the 2012 server to the existing 2013 and 2014 replication group the wizard what to share the 2013 folder on 2012 server. I accept and the mmc crached. Object is created but as below.

After that the member column is "Not defined" for new 2012 server.
Error message on new member object properties in replication group.
"The membership object has not replicated to the local domain controller"

Can access AD and replication is working.

Is this a naming limitatin in DFS? As I have a DFS folder called 2013 and 2014 already?

How do I clean this up?
And how do I replicate the 2013 and 2014 folders to the new server?

regards

Magnus

Just delete 2012 server from replica group and also delete replicated folder on 2012 server and check if 2012 server is added as name space server in DFS, if found one just delete that also from name space server

Then try to add 2012 server as replica in existing replication group and see if it works

Mahesh.
